Last updated: 10 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hobby Hub Limited ("Hobby Hub", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website (the "Site") and when you complete our sign-up form. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Hobby Hub Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company registration number 16021046), with a registered office at:
Hobby Hub Limited128 City Road
London
United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your personal data, you can contact us at info@hobbyhub.world.
2. The personal data we collect
We collect the personal data that you choose to give us when you complete the sign-up form on our Site. This consists of:
- Name — the name of your contact at the activity or hobby business.
- Business name — the name of your activity, club, class or business.
- Postcode — used to understand the area you operate in.
- Email address — so we can contact you and respond to your enquiry.
- Telephone number — optional, provided if you would prefer us to call you.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type and how you use the Site. This is described in the "Cookies and analytics" section below.
3. How we use your personal data, and why
We use the personal data you provide through the sign-up form to contact activity and hobby providers about becoming participants on the Hobby Hub platform. In practice, this means we use your details to:
- respond to your enquiry and follow up about joining Hobby Hub as a provider;
- tell you about becoming a founding member or participant, and walk you through the steps to get set up;
- understand the activities and areas our early providers cover; and
- keep you informed about the platform, its launch, and relevant updates that affect providers.
4. Our legal basis for using your data
Under the UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following:
- Consent — by submitting the sign-up form, you consent to us contacting you about becoming a participant or provider on Hobby Hub. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).
- Legitimate interests — where it is in our legitimate interest to respond to your enquiry, build our network of founding providers, and operate and improve our Site, provided this does not override your rights and interests.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with trusted service providers who help us run our Site and contact you, including:
- Tally — our sign-up form is provided by Tally, which processes the details you submit on our behalf.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — who host the Site and store data securely.
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics) — who help us understand how the Site is used (see "Cookies and analytics").
We may also disclose your data where required to do so by law, or to protect our legal rights.
6. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies and similar technologies on the Site for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies — needed for the Site and the embedded Tally sign-up form to function. The Tally form may set cookies to operate correctly and prevent spam or duplicate submissions.
- Performance and analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics to measure how visitors find and use the Site (for example, which pages are viewed and for how long). This helps us understand performance and improve the experience. Google Analytics may set cookies and process limited usage data, including a truncated IP address, on our behalf. These cookies are only set where you have given your consent.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep the personal data you provide for as long as is necessary to contact you about becoming a participant or provider and to operate the Hobby Hub platform. If you ask us to stop contacting you, or you withdraw your consent, we will delete or anonymise your data unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
8. How we protect your data
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Access to your data is limited to those who need it to carry out the purposes described above.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data ("right to erasure");
- object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing of your data;
- withdraw your consent at any time; and
- ask us to transfer your data to another organisation ("data portability").
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at info@hobbyhub.world. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please do contact us.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
